Frequently Asked Questions

When can I access Online and Mobile Banking?

  • Online and mobile banking will be unavailable from Friday, April 16th at 12:00 PM through Monday,  April 19th at 10:00 AM.

 

Will I have to download a new Mobile Banking app?

  • Apple Users: If you have automatic updates enabled, there is nothing for you to do! Once the new app version is available, it will update on your phone. If you do not have automatic updates enabled, you will have to update your app in the App Store.
  • Android Users: Android users will need to download the new app from the Google Play store and then delete the old version.

 

How do I access the upgraded Online Banking?

  • The online banking location will remain the same on the website. You will continue to visit www.atomiccu.com and go to the upper right corner. The first time you access the new online banking, you will have to complete the registration process.

 

Will I need to re-enroll in Online and Mobile Banking?

  • Yes, each member needs to complete the registration process and create their own username and password. Joint owners on accounts will no longer need to share login information. Each person should create and use their own username and password.

You will need the following:

Consumer Account:

  1. Social security number
  2. Date of birth
  3. Desired Username
  4. Desired Password

Business Account – using EIN as tax ID:

  1. EIN
  2. Business start date on file with Atomic
  3. Desired Username
  4. Desired Password

Business Account – using business owner’s SSN as tax ID:

  1. Owner’s SSN
  2. Owner’s date of birth
  3. Desired Username
  4. Desired Password

 

Will Online and Mobile Banking look different?

  • Yes, you will see some enhancements and new features. To provide you with more convenience, you will see all accounts where you are the primary or joint owner.

 

Will I still receive the alerts I have set up in Online and Mobile Banking?

  • No, you will need to set these alerts back up in Online Banking. The alerts you currently have will not carry over.

 

Will scheduled transfers that I have set up in Online Banking carry over?

  • Any scheduled transfer set up to transfer to an Atomic account will carry over into the new system.  We encourage you to verify all the details of your scheduled transfers before the transfer is scheduled to take place.
  • Any scheduled transfer set up to go to a third-party will need to be re-established. You can set these back up by re-enrolling in Online Banking April 19th, or after.

 

Will account nicknames carry over into the new system?

  • Yes, your account nicknames will carry over into the new Online Banking. We encourage you to verify that your nicknames are correct.

 

Will my deposit and loan account history be accessible in Online Banking after the switch?

  • Yes, your deposit and loan account history will carry over from the old system.

 

Will my eStatements be available after the switch?

  • Yes, your prior e-Statements will be available.

 

Will I be able to see check images through Online Banking?

  • Yes, you will still be able to view check images. However, the look will be different.

When can I access Bill Pay?

  • Bill Pay will be unavailable from Friday, April 16th at 12:00 PM through Monday,  April 19th at 10:00 AM.

 

Will there be any changes to Bill Pay after the switch?

  • We are using the same Bill Pay program. However, the layout may look different in our new online banking system.

 

What if I have scheduled bills to be paid during the technology switch?

  • There will be no delays in scheduled bills. However, you won’t be able to schedule any new payments between Friday, April 16th and Sunday, April 18th. You may schedule payments again beginning on Monday, April 19th.

 

Will my pending payments still be set up in Bill Pay?

  • Yes, your payments will transfer to the new online banking system on Monday, April 19th. It’s important that you make note and go into the new system to verify everything transferred accordingly.

 

Will I need to setup my payees again in Bill Pay?

  • No, this information will transfer over.

 

Will I need to setup my e-bills again in Bill Pay?

  • No, your e-bills will transfer over.

 

Will my Bill Pay history transfer over to the new system?

  • Yes.

Can I speak to someone in the Call Center during the switch?

  • Yes, our call center representatives will be available to answer general questions, but will not be able to provide specific account information.

When can I access the 24-Hour Telephone Teller?

  • The 24-Hour Telephone Teller will no longer be accessible after Friday, April 16th at 12:00 PM. We will be making significant changes and need a bit more time to complete them. Until the 24-Hour Automated System is available on May 17th, the call center will be able to help with all your banking needs.

Will I be able to use my Atomic debit and credit card?

  • Yes, you will still be able to use your Atomic debit and credit cards during the weekend of the upgrade.

 

Will my debit or credit card number and PIN change?

  • No, your current Atomic debit card number and PIN will remain the same. Your current credit card number will also remain the same.

Will my account statements change?

The look of online and paper statements will remain the same user-friendly format.

Will any part of my direct deposits or payroll deductions change?

  • No, you will see no change in your direct deposits or payroll deductions. Everything should still come into the same accounts and distribute to the accounts requested. However, we encourage our members to completely review their accounts after the technology upgrade to ensure account accuracy.

Will my automatic transfers change?

  • Any automatic payments that are setup to an Atomic product will transfer over into the new system.

Will my member number change?

  • No, you will keep the same base member number throughout the switch. However, the suffix associated with your deposit accounts will change. For example:

Will I need to order new checks?

  • No, you will not need to order new checks. The account number on your checks will remain the same after the upgrade.

 

Will Atomic Credit Union’s routing number change?

  • No, the routing and transit number will not change. Atomic Credit Union’s routing number is 244281193.

 

Will I be able to check my balance during the technology switch through online banking, 24-hour telephone teller, or mobile banking?

  • No, balance inquiries will not work from Friday, April 16th at 12:00 PM through Monday, April 19th at    10:00 AM.
  • The 24-Hour Telephone Teller will no longer be accessible after Friday, April 16th at 12:00 PM. We will be making significant changes and need a bit more time to complete them. Until the 24-Hour Automated System is available on May 17th, the call center will be able to help with all your banking needs.

 

When will night deposits be processed the weekend of the switch?

  • You may make deposits in the lobby until 6:00 PM on Friday, April 16th. Night deposits received at our branches after 6:00 PM on April 16th will be processed on Monday, April 19th.

 

Will I receive my direct deposit and dividends?

  • Yes, all direct deposits that are dated for the 16th will be posted to your account(s). We will be paying any dividends that have been earned from April 1st – April 16th on the evening of the 16th for all shares. Dividends that are earned on share accounts starting from April 17th will be paid to the share on June 30th, on the typical quarterly schedule. Dividends earned on certificates will be paid to your account at the end of the month like normal.

 

Will I have access to my funds during the switch?

  • You will still be able to use your Atomic debit or credit card during the weekend of the switch. Our branches will not be open on Saturday, April 17th, so we encourage our members to plan ahead if any in-person banking will be needed.

Will my loan number change?

  • Yes, the suffix of your loan will change. Loan accounts will still be distinguished with an “L,” but the number identifying your loan will change. Please refer to your statement for your new loan suffix.

 

Will my automatic payment to my Atomic loan continue as scheduled?

  • Yes, after the switch, your payment will continue to automatically transfer to any Atomic loan from your savings or checking account as requested, unless you cancel or change the transfer request.

 

Will my automatic payment to my Atomic loan from another financial institution continue as scheduled?

  • Yes, after the switch, your payment will continue to automatically transfer to any Atomic loan.

 

Will I be able to complete an online loan application during the switch?

  • Yes, the online loan application will be available during the weekend of the switch. We are excited to announce that beginning Monday, April 19th, our online loan application will be getting an update as well!
  • Since our branches will not be open on Saturday, April 17th, we encourage anyone interested in applying for a loan to complete an online loan application over the weekend and someone from our team will contact you when we reopen on Monday, April 19th. 

Will there be any changes with my certificates?

  • No, your Atomic certificates will still receive dividends and mature as they do today.

Will I be able to use ATMs?

  • Yes, you can still make withdrawals from an Atomic or any other ATM.

 

Will I be able to check my balance at an ATM?

  • No, balance inquiries will not work from Friday, April 16th at 3:00 PM – Monday, April 19th at 10:00 AM.

Why is Atomic completing a system switch?

  • Our purpose at Atomic Credit Union is to help improve the lives of our members. We recognize that we can do that by partnering with a company that will help us provide the latest and safest technology to you, our members. Atomic wants to ensure that whether you do your banking in branch, over the phone, online, or in the palm of your hand, that you have the ability to do so! We want you to know that we did not take the decision to make The Switch lightly, and wholeheartedly believe that this will help improve the lives of our members!

 

Will transactions in the branches change after the switch?

  • We will still have internal security protocols in place to ensure authorized access to your account(s). However, our new system will streamline all processes to make for a better member experience.

 

Will my account and financial information stay secure during the switch?

  • Absolutely! Atomic takes the protection of member information and security very seriously. We have multiple precautions and procedures in place to ensure that there is no risk to your information.
